On July 20, 1972, Charlie Pride and his band came to Milwaukee's Summerfest for a show.
Charlie and his band were having a successful tour with his 1971 hit "Kiss an Angel Good Mornin". It was his biggest hit but he did have 30 others on the Billboard charts.
The photos of his band here are interesting and fun to look at! Anybody know who the steel guitar player is???
I know that Charlie loved baseball and tried to be a pitcher with the Yankees in 1953. He lost the magic on his fastball and the Yankees sent him to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to play in their Class D team! Never knew that!
Enjoy some photos of Charlie and his band at Summerfest in 1972.

Last Saturday night was a fun night. It was a charity benefit concert for The Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center. Al Kooper and Fred Bliffert were the stars.
A lot of people turned out to tell some great stories and play some great music.
Fred and his family oversee The Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center. What an awesome thing for the family to do!
The photos attached give you an idea of the fun we all had. Bob Reitman was the master of ceremonies and started the show.

I have not done a racing blog in a while. It's time for me to congratulate Scott Dixon, our new 2013 IRL Series Champion!
Scott has always been one of the nicest and most humble guys in pit lane.
He won the Indy 500 in 2008 from the pole position and won the IRL championship in 2003 and 2008 with Target and Chip Ganassi Racing.
Here are some photos from 2007 to this past year at the Milwaukee Mile.
Enjoy and congratulations Scott!
Thanks,
