The Wilson Center here in Brookfield, Wisconsin has an annual guitar festival. There is a lot happenig both outside and inside the Wilson Center. The photo of this little girl having fun is cute I think! She was listening to the band outside and having fun.
This year for the main act, the Elvin Bishop Big Fun Trio performed to a full house.
I've photographed and met Elvin a few times since 1977. Always a great show and an amazing guitar player. Could listen to his stories and slide guitar forever!
The Big Fun Trio consists of Elvin, Bob Welsh and Willy Jordan.
Bob Welsh played both keyboards and guitar. Not sure which he is better at but his guitar playing is awesome!
Willy Jordan hand played a Peruvian drumbox and it was a great sound to hear. Who needs a drum set with this talented guy!
Enjoy some photos of a great night at a beautiful festival just a couple of miles from my home!

Time to get back to a music blog since the last three have been about Indy Cars.
Enjoy some pictures Edgar Winter and his band at Summerfest on July 1, 2018.
Edgar still can rock it and had an awesome band.
Check out Doug Rappaport, Koko Powell, Jason Carpenter and of course Edgar.
Thanks,

I'm getting ready for Indy Cars at Road America on June 22, 23 and 24. So I'm writing this blog a little early because I'll be busy!! It's actually Tuesday June 19th as I do this.
I found some photos of my old friend, Uncle Vinty.
He was like no other musician as you will see. He was unique and loved by everyone because of his costumes and great show. I actually think those are my snow ski goggles he has on! No wonder I don't have them anymore!
Not sure, but I think this is from 1979 at the Blue River Cafe.
Enjoy some photos of my buddy.
Thanks,

In 1987, I photographed Bon Jovi at Alpine Valley Music Theater for the first time. Hopefully, you saw my blog a few weeks ago of their show at the Bradley Center. It was the last rock show ever at the Bradley Center here in Milwaukee.
In 1987, hair was big and stadiums rocked. Maybe leather pants were in style too! I remember I had a gray pair about that time!
The guys were so very nice that day in 1987 with some Make a Wish Foundation kids before the show. It was so cool to see Jon and Tico being soooo nice them.
Enjoy a look back at 1987 when you were how old?!
Thanks,

My blog today is somewhat personal. I have photographed music for many years at the Bradley Center and many people working there have been a great help to me. A few people in particular have really helped me to get things published for newspaper contributions.
Sadly, the Bradley Center had it's final show with Bon Jovi and a band called Stereo Satellite opening the show on April 29th. This was a great show and a really LOUD show even with good earplugs!
The Bradley Center is being torn down and my friends who worked there are moving on. I will miss them, as well as the venue.
So anyway, look at the Bradley Center and it's final show. Does it bring back memories for you too?
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann
