I was lucky enough to get to know the band members of Heartsfield in the 1970's. They all became very good friends to this day!
They are an awesome band that recorded a few albums that should have gotten a lot more air play on the radio.
The guys were from and also based out of Chicago. Although for a while they were in California trying to work.
These photos I just came across the other day looking for some other photos and it's great to look at them again.
A lot of my color photos of the guys were given to their manager (don't EVER do that), in hopes of being used for an album jacket or cover being worked on. I never saw them again! I have learned to give duplicates and not originals to anyone!
Enjoy a look at the guys at Humpin Hanna's in Milwaukee on a June night in 1974.
Have a great Easter everyone.
Thanks,

A long time ago, I had the pleasure of getting to know a band called Heartsfield. These guys were some of the best musicians on the planet. They've made a few albums that should have made it to the top of the charts in country/rock.
The music business, as some of us know, is all about who you know and being in the right place at the right time. That never happened for them but they got really close!
A version of Heartsfield is still around and sounds great but they are not the original band members other than Fred Dobrinski. From the original band, J C Hartsfield, Perry Jordan and Stuart Nevitt are no longer with us.
Check out the new band some time soon when they are in your area and you will hear some wonderful music!
I had always hoped that my first album cover was going to be for them in 1975, but it wasn't to be.
Enjoy a look at the original Heartsfield in the 1970's.
Thanks,

This past week we lost a couple of good rock people.
Johnny Winter and JC Hartsfield left us for the big great rock band forming in heaven.
JC Hartsfield was a good friend of mine for many years when the band Heartsfield was playing a lot in the 1970's and 80's here in the midwest.
Heartsfield, was a country rock band. If you never heard them, please do yourself a favor and look them up.
The attached photos cover many years in the 1980's and it seems a few of the photos are of a birthday party for JC. It looks like the good old shaving cream pie in the face.
I have a lot of Heartsfield photos and more will be coming soon but I had to scan a few today because of JC's passing.
Miss you JC, we had some good times together.
Thanks for the memories JC.
