I forgot that I had some color images of Savoy Brown until a friend reminded me that years ago I did a Christmas card with Kim Simmonds on it!
That Christmas card was in 1971 with Kim in his red pants. Only rock stars wear red pants, right?
When looking at these color images, I found the lineup of the other acts on that night in September of 1971. Long John Baldry and Boomerang were the opening acts . They will be in a future blog soon.
Enjoy some of the first rock concert photos I ever took!
Have a great week and join me on Facebook at Rich Zimmermann Photography if you haven't already.
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann

Just spent a few days with my wife in Door County here in Wisconsin. The colors of the trees were beautiful and biking in Peninsula State Park is always fun!
My blog pictures this week look at some very old film of Savoy Brown on September 29, 1971. This was one of the first concerts I ever photographed!
Kim Simmons, the lead guitar player and leader of the band, is still playing around the country. Just missed his show here in Milwaukee.
Paul Raymond, the keyboard player, left Savoy Brown and has had a great career.
Dave Walker, the lead vocalist on the other hand, should have never left the band. He has gone off the map.
Enjoy the fall colors outside and have a great week.
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann

This week's blog is part 2 of CSNY at Miwaukee County Stadium in 1974.
Found a few more images to add that give an interesting view of the stadium and the crowd from where I was stationed to photograph.
As you can see, I was just another person in the crowd for this show.
Love the clothes we were wearing in 1974!
Enjoy and have a great week.
Thanks,
