The IMSA races came to Road America for their annual visit on August 5-7, along with the usual rain.
It was great to see Robert Wikins racing again and Ryan Eversley racing in two different series during the weekend.
The Porsche Cup raced in the most rain but the big IMSA Sunday race was a race from lap one with a bit of rain thrown in.
Wayne Taylor Racing in their DPI Cadillac took the pole position for the Sunday race but lost the lead a few times. In the final laps with a pass on the grass, they got the win for Ricky Taylor and Philipe Albuquerque!
Fun weekend with a VERY hot Saturday of racing with the temperature reaching 92 degrees.
Enjoy a look at some of the fun and one of the last looks at the DPI cars as they are now. All the cars next year will be new.
The new Cadillacs and Acuras look fast and beautiful. Can't wait to see the final look of the cars.
Thanks,

Blog #405-WeatherTech International Challenge at Road America-Part 2
August 8, 2022
This is the second part of my blog about the WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman at Road America. This action packed weekend ran from July 14 through the 17th.
My last blog focused on the 30 Dan Gurney Eagle race cars and this blog features the rest of the cars.
These are some very cool historic cars from and most of them look brand new and well taken care of.
Checkout the beauty of the race cars and the people having fun in the fog on Friday mornings first session.
The history of some of these cars is amazing. You'll see Mario Andretti's old F1 car and so many other cool cars.
Next blog up is the IMSA series at Road America that just finished and I'll be editing as you read this. It's usually a rain event so who knows what's gonna happen this year.
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann
