Happy Memorial Day everyone. Be sure thank a veteran for his service today!
Yesterday, was the Indy 500 and it was an amazing action packed race! I couldn't sit still watching this one!
My pick, Scott Dixon, went flying through the air and hit the wall. Fortunately he survived and is fine. Second pick, Fernando Alonso, had a Honda engine blow up after a great run and my third pick, Helio Castronieves, came sooooo close to winning! Congrats to Takuma Sato or Tako as we call him. Helio will have to try for his fourth win at Indy next year.
Anyway and on another noted, here is Hall and Oates from the Tears for Fears and Hall and Oates show I shot a few weeks ago. I had a song and a half to photograph the band standing on a chair at the soundboard way back!
Great show and I still think that Tears for Fears was better than Hall and Oates on this particular evening.
Enjoy, and have a great week.
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann

Well, I can finally cross off seeing Tears for Fears from my bucket list! I got to see them on May 13, 2017 with Hall and Oates! Next week we will look at Hall and Oates.
Tears for Fears has been around since 1981 and I have always like their music. This show was their third of the tour with Hall and Oates and they were awesome!! Personally, I think they stole the show. They rocked it!
Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, both guitarists, did a great show as well as the rest of the band, of course. The encore song was "Shout". It was just awesome!
Check out a few shots of the band taken from standing on a chair near the soundboard.
Thanks,

Last night I had the opportunity to see and photograph Tears for Fears and Hall and Oates at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. It was a great show. That will be next week's blog after some editing.
This week we have Joe Walsh at Summerfest in 1973.
Take a look at one of my favorite musicians when he was just few years younger. I was young too at almost 19 years old!

This week, we look back to the Mahavishnu Orchestra performing at the Milwaukee Arena in May of 1973.
I have always likedJohn McGlauglin, Rick Laird, Jerry Goodman and Billy Cobham! Jan Hammer really added a lot with his keyboard work! The whole band is awesome!
Enjoy a look back and get ready for John in November in Chicago.
Thanks,

Here I am again looking through Summerfest files from 1977!
This time we are looking at the food vendors during Summerfest's tenth anniversary year. I know it's the tenth anniversary because we have what looks like the Easter bunny handing out tenth anniversary balloons!
Check out the prices of food. Wine coolers were $1.00 and pretzels and pickles were $.35!!!!
I like the one that says, buy one brandy Ice and get one free!
The Magic Pan, Zorba's and Gimbels Wurst Haus were there!
Those were the good old days, right?
Thanks,
