Surprised this week with the announcement of the departure of Lindsey Buckingham from Fleetwood Mac.
He is being replaced by Michael Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fame. Another great guitar player that helped my friend Marty Stuart produce his last album "Way Out West" last year.
This made me think of when I photographed Lindsey Buckingham at Summerfest in 2007. I'm surprised I haven't shared these before!
Enjoy a look at Lindsey a few years back doing a solo tour.
Hope everyone had a nice Easter and Passover week.
This blog has made me find some more old forgotten relic photographs!
Here are pictures of Steely Dan on November 21, 1972 at Milwaukee's great little club, Humpin Hannas. So many legends played there in the early days.
I recall playing a pool with the guys and a having a few drinks!!
It was a very intimate show in a very dark club, so there are few, not so sharp, photos here. I thought I would include them anyway because it's great history of the band in it's early days. Wish I had the new Sony camera I have now in those days!!
Hope that everyone out there is healthy with all the flu and cold viruses going around. My wife and I have had a really bad cold for a while now. Sucks!
Something good happened. I found a new friend, Konstantinos Takos, in Greece! He is an archivist and historian of everything Uriah Heep. Check out www.uriah-heep.com and if you can contribute anything Heep, please do so.
He made me aware that I didn't have them on my website and I thought I did! So here you go with pictures from a show on February 28, 1973 in Milwaukee.
Dave Byron was their main vocalist. He passed away many years ago.
Check out Uriah Heep here and I'll do some photos from a 2010 show they did at Summerfest soon.
