It seems that I missed putting a few photos of the 1975 Rolling Stones show on my website!
So, here we have some more photos for you all to enjoy from a hot day, on June 9, 1975 at Milwaukee County Stadium. You even get a picture of a long haired photographer with some gear!
I will let the pictures do most of the talking today, and just want to say to all of you, have a nice Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann

Hi everbody! Today, is kind of a special day becasuse I am being featured on the MPTV television program, "I Remember Milwaukee", where I am interviewed by Jim Peck!
We filmed it a few weeks ago, in one take, and I think it is going to turn out good! It is a look back on my photo career that started in 1971 and is still going on.
The show will focus a lot on Summerfest in the 1970's and my favorite band, The Rolling Stones. It will depend on what they edit out.
So, check out the show and enjoy a look at early Summerfest!
Also, the Rolling Stones are coming to town on Tuesday, 6-23-15, and my attempt to photograph them for www.onmilwaukee.com continues. I hope it works out getting credentials.
The 1975 tour, stopped here, at Milwaukee's County Stadium. This was a huge event for our town, my studio "Intrepid Trips", and myself.
In honor of all that, here is a look back at the 1972 and 1975 Rolling Stones tours. Also, a look at me and my studio in 1975! Arrow, my dog even makes an appearance in one photo here with a friend!
Enjoy a look back and have a great week.
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann

Brrrr! It's a nice -7F here in Milwaukee today with 30 mph winds!
So, today we look at a warm sunny day in Milwaukee. This blog is about the Rolling Stones show at Milwaukee County Stadium on June 8, 1975.
Chaka Kahn and the Eagles opened up the show for the Stones.
I was hired by the promoter to photograph and document the baseball field before and after the show for damage! Plywood was layed down for the sound mix guys in the center of the field and for all forklift actions. The field wasn't harmed, amazingly!
So enjoy a look at a nice summer day with the Stones and friends.
Stay warm and join us on facebook at Rich Zimmermann Photography.
Thanks,

On June 18, 1972, the Rolling Stones played at the Minneapolis Metropolitan Sports Arena.
I was a photographer for the Bugle American at the time and traveled from Milwaukee to Minneapolis for the show with a friend who was going to do the review. We were given a couple of tickets which were way up in the rafters! Our seats were so far away from the stage for any really good photographs, unfortunately. Mick never traveled over to our side of the stage because of Nicky Hopkins and his large grand piano blocking that part of the stage. I did what I could and have a few images here.
The stage itself had a pattern of a dragon on it and Mick Jagger was prancing and dancing all over it! The lighting was amazing in that they shot lights from the back of the stage to a mirror on the ceiling which then bounced the light back onto Mick and the band. It was really interesting.
I was 18 years old at the time and The Rolling Stones was my favorite band. That show is still etched in my mind as one of the best shows I have ever seen and The Rolling Stones is still my favorite band!
The Rolling Stones ,I believe, is the longest running and most famous rock'n'roll band in the history of popular music. They started as a blues band and then brought the blues to rock'n'roll.
Enjoy a few photographs of The Rolling Stones and check out the cars that are pulling into the parking lot in the oneof the pictures. That makes me feel old!
Thanks,
Rich Zimmermann
