It's almost Summerfest time here in Milwaukee! Let's look at Summerfest in 2008.
Today's blog is about Cameo, initially a thirteen member group known as The New York City Players.
They were opening for Buddy Guy on this particular evening at Summerfest.
Cameo is best know for their song "Word Up", but they have done a lot since they formed in 1974.
The list of people in the band through the years, is incredibly long! It is the longest list of band members I have ever seen!
Jonathan Moffett, the drummer in the photos attached here is a legend, like a lot of the people that have been in the band. I first met Jonathan, when he was on Madonna's 1987 tour at Alpine Valley. He has also worked with Michael Jackson.
This is a very colorful band as you will see from my images.

With all the Jeff Beck blogging lately, I forgot to add this full group of photos from his show in 2009 at Turner Hall here in Milwaukee.
It was a great show with Davey Knowles, of Back Door Slam fame, as the opening act. Davey will be a blog coming soon.
Jeff always has a great band and this band was no exception. Tal Wilkenfeld, was on bass with Vinnie Colaiuta on drums.

On May 22, 2015, I had the pleasure of seeing and photographing my favorite guitar player of all time, Jeff Beck! Buddy Guy, would be my number two guitar player.
Billy Raffoul, from Canada, was the opening act, and is seen here in my photos. He is young, and very good, and didn't deserve the heckling about his hair.
Jeff Beck seems to have a different band every time I see him. This band consisted of Rhonda Smith on bass, Nicholas Meir on guitar and keyboards, and Jonathan Joseph on drums. They were all excellent of course, just like every band Jeff puts together.
